Reposition Casuarina Square, 45,000 Sqm regional shopping center with 220 tenants.

Gross Development Value USD 275MM.

Deliverables: 

Designed and launched integrated Casuarina Square retail programs, significantly uplifting market share and center revenues.

Exceeded all national benchmarks and center KPI’s including:

Footfall/traffic, Moving Annual Turnover and monthly revenue data.

 

Critical tenancy profile; debtors list, marketing fund contributions and expenditure. Vacancy rates and forward tenancy agreements.

Identified re-development and leasing opportunities per national retail strategy.

As member of the retail team, manage CapEx submissions on behalf of asset owner GPT Group, tenant sinking fund, centre redevelopment, retail planning, industry and government mandated infrastructure programs.

SUMMARY

Located at 14km north of Darwin city centre, Casuarina Square is the largest shopping centre in the Northern Territory. The GPT Group (GPT) have owned and managed the centre since it was built in 1973. Four major redevelopments have been undertaken since that time.

Home to over 200 stores, Casuarina Square is the number one shopping, dining and entertainment destination in the Northern Territory. Casuarina includes two discount department stores, two supermarkets, a variety of specialty stores and an entertainment leisure precinct with a cinema offer.
